SYMBOL FOR ASSOCIATES OF THE SISTERS OF ST. MARTHA OF ANTIGONISH
The twin sails on the sailboat represent the Sisters of St. Martha and the Associates journeying together on the restless sea of life under the protection of the St. Martha. (Together the sails form the letter ‘M’)
|The logo of the congregation of the Sisters of St. Martha clearly identifies the associates with this group.|
|The outward growing, double-branched vine with the letter “a” identifies the wearer of the pin as an associate of the Sisters of St. Martha called to live one’s baptismal commitment by reaching out to others in whatever life situations happen to be present.|
The design is set upon a circle symbolizing the community aspect of the association, whereby the Marthas and Associates assist each other in living out their baptismal commitment, for growth and development in faith.
